Since 1997, we have been providing engaging, hands-on professional development courses to occupational therapists, teachers, and parents. Our courses are known for leaving participants with a multitude of ready-to-implement activities to take back to the clinic, classroom, and home. Courses can be altered from 1.5 hours to 2-day courses to fit your needs. From Wiggles and Giggles to Ready and Steady: Let’s work together to explore the most current research-based strategies to help students learn self-regulation and readiness to learn. With a dozen ideas to work with, there will be something for every type of student and teaching style – from serious to zany, classroom signals to classroom setup, from rewards to conflict resolution, from graphic organizers to improving transitions and much more!
Sensory Processing: Participants LOVE this interactive session equipped with powerful experiential stations. Teachers will leave with an understanding of sensory processing and sensory processing disorder, and how and when to use sensory activities in their classrooms to improve focus and learning.
Handwriting and Written Expression for the Elementary School Child: Come learn about the building blocks for handwriting and writing success. Topics will include letter formation, idea generation, writing fluency, graphic organizers and more!
Structuring the Classroom Environment for Maximum Success: Learn how an engaging, structured learning environment with a balanced instruction style between kinesthetic, auditory, and visual = increased student success regardless of achievement levels.
Perceptual Motor and Oculomotor Skills in School-Aged Children (for therapists and educational specialists): Therapists learn the relationship between perceptual motor skills and school performance and are provided with many fun and engaging therapy activities.
